Your brain is tremendously plastic, and it's being shaped, both structurally and functionally, by everything you do; but also by everything you don't do.
Every thought, feeling and action creates a pathway in your brain. . . . Whenever you do something over and over, that pathway becomes stronger and stronger. The stronger the pathway . . . the easier that behaviour, thought or feeling will be.
Perception . . . has to be a process of informed guesswork in which the brain combines sensory signals with its prior expectations or beliefs about the way the world is to form . . . its best guess of what's out there in the world.
To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.
