3 Ways to Get Your Head Out of Your . . .
I’m not perfect! And I don’t want to give the impression that I am. There are days, and this week has been full of them, when I just want to scream at people, “Get your head out of your [fill in the blank].” (I would say ass!)
I do my best to remain positive and see the best in people because I believe doing the opposite is a waste of time. And still, I find myself wanting to smack people in the face quite often.
Can you relate? Alright! Virtual fist bump!
But seriously, you’re making life too hard people! There are 3 nearly effortless things you can do to make life easier and get your head out of your . . . :
- Be considerate: I’m talking about little things here. Park within the lines. Let other drivers merge in. Hold the door open for people. Say Please and Thank You. Clean up after yourself. Don’t let your kids run wild in public. Get off your phone in the checkout line. Tip well.
- Show integrity: If you say you’re going to do something, do it. If someone sends you a message, reply, even if it’s just to say, “I’ll catch you later.” (Then of course you need to catch them later.) Don’t gossip and/or talk behind people’s backs. Don’t insult people. Don’t laugh at other people’s misfortune. Don’t seek revenge. Forgive people.
- Take responsibility: Have faith in yourself. Work on personal growth every day. Make a decision. Take action. Stop breaking promises to yourself. Stop playing the victim. Stop blaming other people. Stop complaining. Admit to your mistakes.

What things would you add? Let me know in the comments.
These are such basic things, but so many people simply don’t do them. Why? Of course it comes back to Deliberate Thinking.
If you don’t approach your day with intention, it is going to get hijacked, you are going to get overwhelmed, your emotions are going to get the better of you, and you are going to insert your head in your ass. That’s just how it works ?
Think of how pleasant your day would be if everyone, including you and me, did these nearly effortless things. Let’s give it a try!
Have a CONSIDERATE day!
